Turkey’s new Bayraktar Kızılelma combat drone, developed by Turkish defense technology company Baykar, will begin serial production in 2024, after successfully completing its latest flight tests, Turkish media have reported. Besides that, the new unmanned combat fighter plans to carry out flight tests from the flagship of the Turkish Navy, the aircraft carrier TCG Anadolu, starting in 2025. By now, Baykar has produced two prototypes of the Kızılelma, an unmanned aircraft capable of carrying up to 1.5 tons of payload (including weapons) and that has a range of 5 hours of flight and an operating range of 930 kilometers, reaching speeds of 900 km/h and a flight ceiling of almost 10,700 meters.
