Turkish diver Fatma Uruk set a new world record for freediving in Yucatan, Mexico, after descending on Tuesday to a depth of 72 meters in the variable weight without fins female category. “I’m going to wave the most beautiful flag in the world here, in Mexico,” said after breaking the record Uruk, who was congratulated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and by the Turkish embassy in Mexico. Uruk, who travelled to the Latin American country to dive in March, has been trapped there because of the pandemic since then.
