Turkish female wrestler Yasemin Adar Yiğit managed to proclaim herself world champion in wrestling for the second time in the 76 kg category of Greco-Roman wrestling, after defeating her rival, the Egyptian Samar Amer İbrahim Hamza, in the final in Belgrade. With her goal set for her at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Yasemin states that her goal is to be a role model for younger girls. “I want to show the power that Turkish women have,” she says.
