Turkish Economy Minister Mehmet Şimşek held a meeting in Spain with representatives of major Spanish companies and the financial sector. “Our meetings with international investors continue in Spain,” Şimşek wrote on the social network X (Twitter), assuring that there is a high level of interest in Turkey’s growth potential and the opportunities Turkey offers.
“Our meetings with international investors continue in Spain. Organised by BBVA, one of the world’s leading financial institutions, our meetings with executives from globally influential Spanish companies and the financial sector valued at $2 trillion were very productive,” stressed Turkey’s current Minister of Treasury and Finance.
According to Şimşek, investors from the communications, finance, energy, healthcare, tourism, automotive and textile sectors are showing great interest in Turkey’s growth potential and the investment opportunities offered by the Eurasian country. The meeting was attended by executives from leading Spanish multinational companies with a combined value of $2 trillion. “Our medium-term economic programme will contribute significantly to revitalising investors’ interest in Turkey, and to increasing foreign investment,” the Turkish economy minister stressed.
