Turkey has presented to the world its first military marine drone with electronic warfare capabilities, the MARLIN. Produced in Turkey by the Turkish defence giant ASELSAN, the MARLIN is the first military drone of its kind and will be used for the first time in the upcoming NATO manoeuvres to be held in Portugal at the end of September. With a length of 15 meters, the MARLIN can carry out war operations on the surface and under water, including electronic and asymmetric warfare operations, in both offensive and defensive military actions either on the coast or in the open sea. The MARLIN is believed to bring changes to conventional warfare as significant as the introduction of the Turkish Bayraktar combat drones.
