Turkey continued fighting today for the 6th consecutive day against the wave of wildfires that especially devastates the south of the country, and which has already caused 8 deaths. Yesterday the authorities announced that 122 of the 129 fires unleashed in 35 provinces are under control, but the situation in Manavgat (Antalya), Marmaris or Bodrum, very tourist places, is worrisome, so everything indicates that the fires are provoked and that behind could be the PKK, as has happened in previous years. Only in the Aegean province of Muğla some 10,000 people have had to be evacuated. Several European countries, including Spain, have sent planes to help fight the flames.
