A policeman was killed and another is in serious condition after the armed attack that took place this morning against a police station on the outskirts of the city of Mersin, in southern Turkey. The assault was carried out by two members of the PKK terrorist group; after an intense firefight and when they were surrounded by the security forces, the terrorists blew themselves up by detonating some explosives that they carried in their backpacks. Three other civilians were injured in the attack but their lives are not in danger.
