A family living in a village in the province of Kastamonu, in northern Turkey, lives in terror by a strange phenomenon: up to 17 fires have broken out in their house in the last 16 days, without having found a logical explanation for this mystery. Despite the events, the family is determined not to leave the house, where the remains of the fires are visible, but they have been forced to remove most of the furniture. “We have not been able to find anything that could have caused the fires. We are not a wealthy family, we have nowhere to go,” says one of the members. “One day a fire broke out in one room, and while we were putting it out, another broke out in another room. We are puzzled. There is no logical explanation for this,” says another.
