A spectacular air show starring the famous aerial acrobatic group “Turkish Stars” (Türk Yıldızları) closed yesterday this year’s edition of TEKNOFEST, a festival dedicated to technology, airplanes, robots, drones, rockets, or flying cars. Tens of thousands of people attended Sunday’s events, including the air show in which jets drew the crescent and the star of the Turkish flag across the sky. Nearly 200,000 students have participated in this year’s technological competitions at TEKNOFEST, which has had the Turkish Nobel Prize in chemistry Aziz Sancar as the honor guest.
