More than 150,000 tourists visited Cappadocia in June

The Cappadocia region, one of the best known for tourism in Turkey, received more than 150,000 domestic and foreign tourists in June, almost triple the number of the previous month. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Cappadocia received close to 4 million tourists in 2019, before the pandemic, and is famous around the world for its landscapes, its rock monasteries, its underground cities and its balloon tours.
