The streets of Istanbul once again appeared empty as a result of the reinstatement of weekend curfews due to the increase in coronavirus infections, which have elevated Istanbul to the category of a very high-risk province. These aerial images taken by a drone of emblematic places such as Eminönü or Sultanahmet (with Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque) empty, contrast with those of Üsküdar, on the Asian side of the city, where police intensified the controls before the influx to the zone of foreign tourists, who are exempt from complying with the curfew.
