On the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, police gave flowers to women walking in Beyoğlu (Istanbul), while informing them about the KADES mobile app, which is used to report cases of gender violence. In other districts of Istanbul such as Kadıköy, as well as in the main cities of Turkey, left-wing and feminist organisations gathered to claim women’s rights and to protest against mistreatment, harassment, discrimination and labor exploitation that women suffer.
