Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah delivered a long-awaited televised speech on Friday in which he harangued his followers in Lebanon and threatened Israel to go to war and attack the north of the country “at any time”, while blaming the United States for everything that is happening in Gaza, claiming that the Israeli state is “only the execution tool” while Washington “prevents the declaration of a ceasefire and the end of aggression” on Palestinians in the Strip.
Nasrallah claimed that Hezbollah is already fighting the “battle against Israel since October 8”, and while he did not officially declare war on Israel as many expected, he threatened Israel to do so when at any moment. “All possibilities on our front in Lebanon are open, and all options are on the table, and we can go against them (the Israelis) at any time,” said the leader of the Iranian-linked Shi’ite movement, in his first official statement since the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas. In this regard, Nasrallah recalled that only the fear of an intervention by Hezbollah has caused that Israel deployed one third of its army on the border with southern Lebanon.
