The number of victims after the multiple collision of vehicles that occurred last night in the province of Hatay, in southern Turkey, rises now to 13 dead and 30 injured, according to the latest data provided by Turkish authorities, after one of the injured in yesterday’s accident died in a hospital in Adana.
The tragedy, which occurred on the highway between Antakya (Antioch) and İskenderun (Alexandreta), occurred when a large truck lost control and invaded the opposite lanes of a highway, colliding with 9 cars and 2 minibuses, several of which caught fire as a result of the terrible impact. Hatay was one of the provinces most affected by the wave of earthquakes on February 6, which left more than 50,000 dead in the southeast of Turkey.
