Murat Duran, a 50-year-old quadriplegic man confined to a wheelchair, could never have imagined that a crow, whom he has named Şakir, would become his best friend and an inseparable part of his life since his family rescued him on the street. After taking care of him for 3 months, now the bird does not separate from him and accompanies him on his shoulder all day; and although some nights it disappears, it always returns for the day. “It is a very loyal bird,” Murat says.
