An earthquake of 4.5 degrees affected the Turkish capital and the entire Ankara province on Sunday night, without causing injuries or material damage in the city; however in the neighbouring province of Kırıkkale large cracks appeared in some houses. The earthquake, with its epicentre in the district of Kalecik, broke out at 22:53 local time (20:53 CET) at a depth of 12 kilometres.
