At least 26 people have been injured as a result of the collision that occurred this morning between two commuter trains in the city of Samsun, on the north coast of Turkey. The accident, which has left two seriously injured, occurred near one of the stops. Samsun Governor Zülkif Dağlı confirmed in a statement to reporters that the accident occurred at 9:40 in the morning (7:40 CET) when a train collided from behind with another convoy that had a breakdown. “Everything points to a technical failure,” said the governor.
