The Orient Express, an old train line in Turkey that links Ankara to Kars (a city in the far eastern part of Anatolia) during winter months (not to be confused with the legendary, European, Orient Express), and which in recent years has become very popular among tourists and university students, has already started its first trips of the season, as usual with sold out tickets. Nearly 14,000 travelers are expected to travel this winter the 1,300 km of the route, which the train takes about 30 hours through spectacular snowy landscapes.
