Southern Turkey records the highest temperatures in history

Several provinces in southern Turkey experienced this week the hottest day in a September in their history, meteorologists announced. The heat wave that hit the country on Thursday left a new record temperature of 45.1 degrees in Adana, beating its previous record of 43.2 degrees in 1994, although the thermometers on the street came to show up to 51 degrees. Scientists warn that due to climate change, each year after 2019 (the warmest year in history) will be warmer than the last.
