Turkey: Water buffaloes bathe in hot springs in winter

Every winter there is a unique spectacle of nature in eastern Turkey, in the small Turkish town of Budakli, located in the Bitlis province and just a few kilometres from the crater of the extinct volcano of Mount Nemrut: in the middle of the snow and with temperatures below zero, local people take their horses and their water buffaloes to hot springs that gush at 50ºC, and whose curative properties are well known.
