Residents of the province of İzmir, on the west coast of Turkey, experienced moments of panic when they recorded up to 8 tornadoes forming at the same time in the sea. The strange phenomenon occurred off the coast of Çeşme and the Karaburun peninsula, between the Turkish coast and the Greek island of Chios. Fortunately, none of the tornadoes made landfall.
