A total of 25 pithoi (large ceramic jars) with skeletons of children inside have been discovered by archaeologists excavating the Küllüoba Mound (Küllüoba Höyüğü, in Turkish), an ancient Bronze Age settlement in the Eskişehir province, northwest of Turkey. With an estimated age of 5,000 years, together with the skeletons ornaments and jewels were found, used as a tribute to the dead.
