Sweden and Finland have taken steps against the activities of the PKK terrorist group in these countries, but they have not done enough for Turkey to approve its entry into NATO, Ibrahim Kalın, spokesman for Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan, warned yesterday after the tripartite meeting between the three countries in Brussels, also recalling that the negotiations were suspended after the burning of the Koran in Stockholm and that Ankara decided to resume them after a personal request from the NATO Secretary General to the Turkish president. “We have said that steps must be taken against the financing and propaganda of terrorism… We want the pact signed in Madrid to be fully implemented. When it is done, the accession of both countries to NATO will proceed positively,” Kalın said.
