The Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey, Mustafa Varank, has publicly presented the first domestically manufactured electric train, capable of reaching 176 km/h and which, after completing the development and testing phase, has already entered the production phase and will enter in service in a few months. The objective of the Turkish government now is to develop its own technology for high-speed trains that will exceed 225 km/h.
