TOGG, the manufacturer of Turkey’s first electric vehicle, has already sold nearly 50,000 electric cars, according to data released by the Turkish company on sales of its first 100% electric model, the T10X, which scored 5 stars in EURONCAP safety tests.
According to figures released by the Turkish manufacturer and published by various media, TOGG sold a total of 30,093 units of its electric SUV in 2024; added to the 19,583 units of the T10X sold in 2023, a total of 49,676 electric cars have been delivered to date by the Turkish manufacturer, which sold 5,732 vehicles in December alone.
With these figures, TOGG’s sales in the recently concluded year 2024 increased by 53.6% compared to the previous year. In addition, the Turkish company has already deployed 842 direct current (DC) charging stations with 1,684 charging points throughout the country, while the number of charging stations for alternating current (AC) electric cars has reached 363.
According to the latest data released by the Association of Mobility and Automotive Distributors of Turkey (ODMD), electric car sales in the Eurasian country between January and November 2024 accounted for 9.9% of the total, reaching 83,298 vehicles sold (38.6% more than the previous year), with TOGG being the dominant brand in the Turkish market ahead of Tesla.
By 2025, electric car sales in Turkey are expected to increase by up to 30% with the entry of new brands and the sale of new models such as the T10F, which TOGG launched in 2024. According to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Agency (EPDK), by 2025 the number of electric vehicles in the country could exceed 361,000, rising to 1.7 million by 2030 and reaching 4.2 million by 2035.
