Turkey is already preparing itself to receive the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which will begin on March 23 with the first fast and the first iftar (the dinner to break the daily fast); before, on the night of the 22nd to the 23rd, the first tarawih will be celebrated, some traditional collective prayers typical on these dates. This year, according to the lunar calendar that rules in Islam, Ramadan will last 29 days, ending on April 21, when the 3 holidays for the End of Ramadan Festival will begin. During the daily fast from sunrise to sunset, Muslims must refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, sexual intercourse, blaspheming, or doing anything wrong. Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan is one of the so-called 5 pillars of Islam.
