Tourism in Turkey has not only fully recovered after the pandemic, but is also on track to break records, or at least it seems so based on the figures released by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who pointed out that only between January and June of this year, Turkey received 22 million tourists, 17% more than last year in the same period. Income from tourism also experienced a notable increase, totaling 21.7 billion dollars in the first 6 months of the year: 27% more than in the first half of 2022. The minister attributed this good figure to the increase in accommodation spending per capita and night, which has increased by more than 50% to reach $100 per night.
