Thousands of pets in Turkey are receiving a microchip implant before the end of this year: from January 1, it will be mandatory for all pets to be microchipped and registered in a national system, PETVET. It is estimated that some 630,000 dogs and cats have already received a microchip implant, which will allow to know their medical history and the data of their owners, in case of loss or abandon.
