The works of the metro that will connect Istanbul with its new airport have already been completed at 71%. Once completed, the metro line, which will be driverless and will run at 120 km/h, will have a total length of 70 kilometres. The new metro, which will connect the new Istanbul airport with the Kağıthane and Beşiktaş (Gayrettepe) districts, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2021.
