Second 7.6 earthquake shakes the southeast of Turkey again

A second 7.6 earthquake struck again at 13:24 Turkish time (11:24 CET) the province of Kahramanmaraş and the entire southeast of Turkey, after the first earthquake of magnitude 7.7 that occurred this morning. The epicenter took place in the Elbistan district and could be felt even in the country’s capital, Ankara. Meanwhile, the number of victims due to the wave of earthquakes already amounts to 1,121 dead and 7,634 injured. The tremors of the main earthquake that occurred this morning could be felt even in Greenland; but above all in neighboring Syria, where they have caused significant damage and nearly 800 deaths in the provinces of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama, Latakia and Raqqa.
