A refugee died and another 5 were injured Wednesday after Greek police used large-calibre riot gear to disperse refugees trying to cross the border. The Turkish governor of Edirne confirmed that the victim, who was treated in a hospital in Turkey, died from the impact on the chest of one of the metal shells fired by Greek forces “without regard to the lives of refugees”, he said. On Monday, Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan refused to meet with the Greek Prime Minister after two other refugees died at the border.
