Turkish Airlines plane collides with birds

Plane makes emergency landing after colliding with birds

A Turkish Cargo plane, the air transport division of Turkish Airlines, had to make an emergency landing in Istanbul shortly after taking off for Almaty, Kazakhstan, after colliding with a flock of birds. The impact with the birds destroyed the nose of the plane, a Boeing 777-F, which had to discharge fuel into the air before making an emergency landing at Atatürk airport, fortunately without major consequences.
