Sales of homes and real estate to foreigners in Turkey multiplied by 5 during the past month of April. More than 4,000 properties were bought by foreigners, even above the sales figures in 2019, before the pandemic. Istanbul was the main destination for foreign home purchases, followed by Antalya and Ankara. The largest group of buyers were Iranians, followed by Iraqis and Russians.
