Israeli planes bombed Gaza, completely destroying a 14-storey building in the Omar al-Mukhtar neighbourhood, north of the Strip. Israel yesterday rejected a UN ceasefire proposal and intensified its offensive, which has caused dozens of deaths among the Palestinian civilian population in 3 days and greater destruction than the 50-day offensive launched in 2014 by the Israeli army against Hamas. This new escalation of violence, which is also confronting Israeli settlers and Israeli citizens of Arab origin, was unleashed as nearly 200 Palestinians were injured in clashes with the Israeli police in front of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and as several Palestinian families were evicted from their homes in East Jerusalem.
