Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated on Friday in Istanbul the first field hospital built to care for those suffering from the coronavirus pandemic. The new Professor Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital, located in the Sancaktepe district, covers 124,000 square meters, has 1,008 beds (432 ICU) and is earthquake resistant. The field hospital, which has modern facilities and the latest technology, will not only be used against the coronavirus, but also in the event of a disaster and for health tourism.
