The entrance to the famous İstiklal Avenue in Istanbul was temporarily closed today due to the pandemic, because of the crowds of people passing through this central avenue, while the local police alerted passersby to maintain social distance. Since December last year, the authorities have been monitoring the density on İstiklal Avenue using drones and, if a limit of 7,000 people is exceeded on the avenue (something that happened today), then it is closed to the public.
