Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan suggested yesterday that Finland could join NATO without Sweden because of tensions between this country and Turkey, after the Swedish government authorized the burning of a Koran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm and refused to extradite several terrorists wanted by Turkish justice. “We have given Sweden a list of 120 people to be extradited to our country. If they don’t, I feel sorry for you,” Erdoğan said. Following the announcement, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö contacted the government in Ankara.
