Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday raised the tone of his criticism of Sweden, reiterating that Turkey is only in favor of Finland’s entry into NATO. “Sweden, don’t even bother!” Said the Turkish president in a speech before deputies from his AKP party. Turkey has criticized Sweden for allowing the burning of the Koran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm and demonstrations by the PKK terror group, including the mock “hanging” of a doll representing Erdoğan outside the Swedish capital’s city hall. Finland has said that it will not tolerate such acts.
