Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is considering sending military aid to Ukraine and even playing a mediating role between Ukraine and Russia, a role similar to Turkey‘s. During an interview with CNN, Netanyahu did not rule out providing Kyiv with a mobile air defense system such as the so-called “Iron Dome.” Israel is under pressure from the US to become more involved in the Ukrainian conflict, but at the same time wants to preserve its ties with Russia, which also controls the skies over Syria.
