Erdoğan compares Netanyahu with Hitler

Erdoğan says Netanyahu is the “Führer of our time”

Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan said on Friday that Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the “Fuhrer of our time” for the killing of civilians in Gaza, while denouncing once again that the international community “just watches in the face of the barbaric acts of Netanyahu and his entourage, which constitute a genocide against the Palestinian people“.

“We see those who support Israel unconditionally. Those who turn a blind eye to the massacres today, will regret it tomorrow. Western countries have failed the Gaza test, they have lost their credibility. The fascist mentality of those who claim to defend democracy, has been exposed. They have ignored the killings of women and children,” the Turkish president said during a speech at the inauguration of two new vessels for the Turkish navy.

“The Western countries have been content to just watch the barbaric acts of genocide committed by the Führer of our time, Netanyahu, and his group, blinded by blood and hatred,” Erdoğan declared. This is not, however, the first time the Turkish president has compared Israel‘s current prime minister to the German dictator: “You are no different from Hitler. And Hitler didn’t have that much money. Israel has all kinds of support from the West, from the United States,” Erdoğan commented last December during an event in Ankara. Previously, in November, he had referred to Netanyahu as the butcher of Gaza“.
