Turkey celebrated Victory Day on Sunday with various events culminating in a 300-drone visual show held over the Presidential Palace in Ankara, which was broadcast via media and social networks. The “Zafer Bayramı” remembers every August 30 the great victory of the Turkish army under Atatürk against the invading forces of Greece at the Battle of Dumlupınar, which ended the Turkish War of Independence in 1922.
