Those who have not left Istanbul during the end-of-Ramadan holidays are taking advantage of the good weather to stroll along the shores of the Bosphorus and head for the beaches in areas such as Bakırköy, Avcılar or Beşiktaş. Others take advantage of the warm weather to go to the city’s parks for a picnic.
“It’s the first time I’ve seen Istanbul so crowded. We went to a shopping centre and as it was full of people we came here (to the coast), but there are a lot of people here too,” a young man visiting the city during the holidays for the end of Ramadan told a reporter.
