At least 12 migrants “pushed back” by Greece, were found by Turkish authorities near the border, all of them frozen to death. According to the Turkish Minister of Interior, the migrants, found dead in the border province of Edirne, had no shoes or warm clothes, a common practice of Greek border guards, who remove their clothes and leave them naked to prevent them from crossing again the river that forms the border with Turkey. Just yesterday the Turkish government denounced the death of another migrant, this time in the waters of the Aegean Sea, drowned after Greek coastguards threw him into the sea.
