Turkey, people affected by the earthquake in Düzce

Thousands of people sleep outdoors after earthquake in Turkey

Thousands of people have spent tonight sleeping in parks, gardens and public squares, or in tents set up by emergency services, after the magnitude 6 earthquake that shook Düzce and all of northwestern Turkey yesterday. Besides the more than 200 aftershocks of up to 4.3 degrees registered after the earthquake, which left one dead and 93 injured, people still have fresh in memory another earthquake that in 1999 killed 710 people in Düzce.
