A rehabilitation project launched in Pamukkale, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the most visited places by tourists in Turkey, aims to renew and improve the image offered to tourism by this place, filling the streets with flowers, laying patterned paving stones on the streets and painting the facades of the buildings in white and blue. In addition to visiting the white travertine terraces and hot springs, tourists now also take photos of the picturesque facades of Pamukkale. “Our street is now Pamukkale-worthy,” says the owner of a local restaurant.
