Azerbaijan, Armenian bombings on Ganja

9 dead in Azerbaijan in new Armenian bombings on city of Ganja

At least 9 civilians were killed and more than 30 injured in a new bombardment by Armenian forces on the Azerbaijani city of Ganja, the second largest in Azerbaijan, despite the theoretical ceasefire agreed between both sides with the mediation of Russia, which went into effect at noon on Saturday. More than 40 Azerbaijani civilians have been killed in Armenian attacks since the conflict resumed on September 27 over the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave, part of Azerbaijan but occupied by Armenia since the 1990s.
