Only Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan can convince Russia to return to the grain deal, Ukraine‘s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Thursday. “Ukraine is coordinating with Erdoğan to get Putin back to the Black Sea grain deal, and Erdoğan is coordinating with Zelenksy. It is a common interest. Erdoğan is the only leader who can convince Putin to return to the agreement,” Kuleba said during an interview for a Ukrainian news agency. Precisely, the Turkish president agreed this week with his Russian counterpart to a visit by Putin to Turkey: although the exact date has not been revealed, sources close to Ankara believe that Putin’s trip could take place this very month of August.
