Turkish doctors remove 158 metal objects from a woman’s stomach

A team of Turkish doctors at a hospital in Van, eastern Turkey, were shocked after finding 158 metal objects in the stomach of a woman who had gone to the emergency room complaining of abdominal pain. Doctors needed two and a half hours of surgery to remove all the objects, including nail clippers, needles, tweezers, nails, screws, keys, a small knife, and a pocket knife. The 24-year-old woman, who apparently suffers from a disorder that leads her to ingest objects, is well and has already been discharged.
