Turkey retaliated after a PKK attack that injured 4 Turkish soldiers in northern Syria. As reported by the Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, the Turkish army’s response was launched on Sunday and managed to “neutralize” 10 PKK terrorists, while the treatment of wounded soldiers continues. Last week, Akar announced that since the operations launched by the army in Syria and Iraq in July 2015, nearly 40,000 members of the PKK and its Syrian affiliate, the YPG, have been “neutralized” (killed, wounded or captured).
