Experts from the Erciyes University of Kayseri, in Turkey, began today the human trials of ERUCOV-VAC, one of the five possible vaccines against the coronavirus developed by Turkish scientists, which will be tested in volunteers aged 18 to 55 who have not had COVID-19. “I hope I can give people hope,” declared the first volunteer. Turkey expects to have these first vaccines ready in the spring and to begin vaccination in health, security forces and youth in mid-2021.
